Oakwood University’s Community Health Action Center Proudly Presents CAMP OAKS Innovation Showcase

On June 30, 2022, the inaugural Camp OAKS Innovation Showcase was held at the Community Health Action Center on the campus of Oakwood University, for more than 80 Camp OAKS scholars. Children in grades K-7 shared their completed projects in science, technology, engineering, arts, and math with their families and community.

Children excitedly prepare to show their innovations to guests and parents.
The celebration kicked off with a roaring presentation by the Huntsville Community Drumline, who later engaged scholars to try some beats of their own.

Children were able to conduct experiments, build projects, and even learn how rocket boosters work from a NASA Marshall Space Flight Center engineer.
